Assignment 1 part 1 : Television Show

The task given is to decide on the genre that you would like to attempt for this assignment at the first place, then look through materials published on this genre to gain a better understanding of what it is all about. At the end, come out with an essay with 600 to 1000 words. The objective of this assignment is to understand the concept of a television genre and able to do cite references according to the APA citation method accurately and effectively.

Reflection
The television series that I've chosen are Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Las Vegas and Numbers. By doing this assignment, I've learnt to write an essay of comparison and also improve my English academic skills. Besides that, I'm able to compile and summarize everything I've watch into one essay with about 880 words.

Assignment 1 part 2 : No Talking Points

In group of 2, we're required to choose one of the paintings exhibition and visit that place. The paintings exhibition that we've chosen is No Talking Points at Galeri Taksu, 17 Jalan Pawang, Kuala Lumpur. Then choose 2 painting in that exhibition and compare them both.

Reflection
This assignment intended us to demonstrate the ability to ‘read’ a painting based on the steps listed below in the methodology section and demonstrate the ability to compare and contrast, analyses and synthesize information about the two chosen in a longer essay and explain them clearly and logically. This is the first time visiting the art gallery, it's a new experience for me. Besides that, I've also learnt how to read the paintings but there are still a lot more to improve.

Assignment 3 : Comparative Research

In group of 4, we are required to choose interview trade and business of same type which are already opened more than 15 years. Then transfer everything we've got in the interview into a report which contain 2500 to 3000 words.

Reflection
The aim of this assignment is want us to able to identify the key issues in the question and explain them clearly and logically. Besides that, to demonstrate the ability to prepare questionnaires and interviews to obtain information about the topic, the ability to analyse and synthesize information and compile them in the report and able to communicate the relevant ideas and analysis in clear, logical and appropriate academic English. Through this assignment, I've learnt how to do a formal interview. Although we've been rejected by many business owners but we are still work hard and able to finish this report on time. The place we've chosen for research is Kuala Lumpur, the business we've chosen is plastics business.
